The site is operated by the Good BRCA Genes non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting the well-being of BRCA gene mutations carriers in Israel.
Our Community and Activities
Our Facebook community is an exclusive and supportive space for women who carry a BRCA mutation or similar genetic variants. It includes healthy carriers, those undergoing treatment, and survivors. Within this circle, members offer one another invaluable support, sharing experiences and guidance related to the challenges associated with the gene and risk-reducing surgeries.
Beyond our active online community, the Organization engages in a variety of initiatives aimed at supporting carriers:
- Guidance and support for newly diagnosed carriers, ensuring they receive the information and encouragement they need.
- Expert-led lectures and presentations on topics relevant to BRCA carriers, providing up-to-date knowledge.
- Advocacy efforts within the healthcare system, including increasing access to specialized clinics, and advocating for enhanced training for medical professionals treating BRCA carriers.
- A nationwide network of equipment lending stations, offering essential post-operative supplies for women undergoing mastectomy surgeries.
- Thoughtful care packages for both healthy and ill carriers undergoing treatment or preventive surgeries.
- An extensive emotional support network, operating nationwide and led by dedicated volunteers from within our community.
Additionally, we operate a separate Facebook community for men who carry a BRCA mutation and their families, offering tailored support and information to address their specific needs.
